Owner/Member Communication

Ann Donahue, senior vice president of inventory marketing at Raintree Resorts International LLC, will focus on owner/member communications. She will be sharing her strategies for keeping members engaged, which is critical to keeping maintenance fee payments current and generating reservations once it is again safe to travel.

Restarting Resort Operations

Jay Anderson, VP of Resort Operations and Business Development at Grand Pacific Resorts, will be discussing the steps required to restart resort operations. He’ll explain the task force Grand Pacific created to examine the components needed to make this happen and create best practices that can be implemented across their portfolio of managed resorts. You’ll also hear how the company is prepping associates to return, by staying in touch, helping them with unemployment claims and letting them know that Grand Reopening celebrations are on the horizon.

Sales and Member Engagement

Tom Lyons, president and CEO of Global Connections, and Melanie J. Gring, Chief Strategic Alliances and Brand Officer, will explain how they have been using the latest advances in technology and services to continue sales during this time. They have been delivering presentations by phone and webinars concentrating on member upgrades. And they’re keeping members active with email blasts, contests and other touchpoints. He’ll also discuss how Global Connections has adjusted pricing and other benefits in reaction to the new normal.

Finance, HOAs and Government Aid

Lena Combs and Tom Durkee from advisory and accounting firm Withum will also be presenting. Throughout the crisis, the company has been in regular contact with its clients and industry participants. They have been relaying crucial information on federal legislation designed to assist companies and employees. They will update participants on how programs at the Small Business Administration are changing, if HOAs are eligible, and how HOAs should be preparing for the new normal. Topics include an overview of the CARES bill and the Paycheck Protection Plan, along with the financial issues facing resorts, HOAs and resort developers.
